Work News
So, a couple months ago I felt it was time for me to step down as Creative Director of Guifx, though it sure was a good run. Going forward, Guifx will build on the new foundation I helped create, but in my new role of Senior Designer I will have minimal influence on the direction of Guifx, its products and its presentation. One great thing I am happy to report is that I will be diving back into design fulltime at Guifx. So expect big things on that front!

Frankenmail Icon Released
I took some time over the weekend and created an icon just for fun. I hadn’t drawn a cartoon in years and I wanted a nice replacement icon for the mail application in the dock. So without further delay… I call it Frankenmail. Enjoy!

My interview at Psdtuts+
I was recently asked to do an interview for Psdtuts+. It’s quite an honor being that their site gets 1.2 million visitors per month and is THE Photoshop tutorial site on the internet. Sean Hodge, the editor of Psdtuts is a great guy and the interview was a lot of fun to do. I’ll quote Sean saying, “If interface design is a subject that captivates you, then jump into this interview to learn more!”

Guifx.com Redesign Launches
Today a new version of the Guifx website went live. With this version, our goal was more of a “refresh” than a complete redesign. A lot of the changes involved our store’s presentation and content. We also refreshed all of the graphics throughout the site while maintaining the overall feel of the previous version.

Version 5 Launches
Today I launched version 5 of my personal site. This time I went with a uber-simple design. Although, I did include quite a bit of interface animations. Finally replaced the supposed temporary (been up for like a year) site I had up there until now.
